UnionBank Credit Cards Welcome Gift Promo

Terms and Conditions

1. The UnionBank Welcome Gift Promo (“Promo”) will run from July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (“Promo Period”).
2. The Promo is open to principal UnionBank credit card applicants only. Supplementary card applicants and supplementary cards are not eligible for this promo. Eligible applicants must:
   1. Not have an existing Principal credit card issued by UnionBank and/or Citi, have not had one in the last six (6) months before application;
   2. Apply for the UnionBank Reserve, Miles+, Rewards, or Cash Back credit card (the “Card”) within the promo period;
   3. Have applications that were received with complete documents and requirements by UnionBank of the Philippines (the “UnionBank”) within the promo period; and
   4. Be approved within the promo period.
   5. Not be prohibited under applicable Gifts, Anti-Bribery and Corruption laws, regulations, and policies from participating in or qualifying for this Promo;Card applicants who meet all the criteria above are referred to as the “Applicant”.
3. Applicants who get approved for a Card and meet the spend requirement for their Card within sixty (60) days from the card approval date (“Spend Period”) shall be entitled to the Welcome Gift below:

• The following transactions are excluded from this promo, and will not be counted towards the spend requirement:
  1. Cash advances (local or international)
  2. Transactions from stock trading, foreign exchange trading, financial trading services, remittances, and the like
  3. Transactions from casinos/gambling/gaming
     1. Government-Licensed Casinos (Online or Internet Gambling)
     2. Government-Licensed Horse/Dog Racing
     3. Gambling Transactions / Betting
     4. Gambling-Horse, Dog Racing, State Lottery
  4. Any in-house installment availment such as Balance Transfer, Charge for Cash, and Retail Conversion
  5. Fees & charges such as but not limited to:
     1. Annual fee(s)
     2. Interest & late charges
     3. Cash advance fee
     4. Overlimit fee
     5. Gaming/Cryptocurrency/Quasi-cash Fee
     6. Insurance payments
  6. Purchases for business transactions such as: Direct or Multi-level marketing
     1. Merchants engaged in wholesale and distribution
     2. Transactions that were subsequently cancelled or refunded
• In the event that a Cardholder applies and is approved for multiple Cards within the same Promo Period, only the Card with the highest ranking based on the table below shall be eligible for the Welcome Gift, subject to compliance with the applicable spend requirement. If the Cardholder qualifies under another promo during the same Promo Period and has already received a Welcome Gift under such other promo, the Cardholder shall no longer be eligible to participate in this Promo.

• Upon meeting the Spend Requirement, the qualified Cardholder will receive confirmation of his/her eligibility for the Welcome Gift within thirty (30) business days.
  1. Miles For UnionBank Miles+ card, Miles will be available for redemption within thirty (30) business days upon meeting the Spend Requirement. Miles can be used to redeem cash credits, merchandise, gadgets, and points transfers (International Frequent Flyer Programs).
  2. eGift For UnionBank Reserve and UnionBank Cash Back cards, the eGift promo code will be sent to the Cardholder within thirty (30) business days from meeting the Spend Requirement.
     1. The Cardholder may redeem the eGift in denominations of P500 up to a total amount of the eGift, with Giftaway.
     2. Upon redemption, the Cardholder will receive an eGift code/s from Giftaway through his/her nominated email address and mobile number. He/she may use the eGift code/s to purchase any item by presenting the same in his/her preferred Giftaway participating stores.
     3. By redeeming the eGift code/s through the Giftaway redemption site, the Cardholder is responsible for providing his/her personal and other information to Giftaway, the accredited service provider of UnionBank, and agrees that such information will be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy and security terms of Giftaway.
     4. The promo code the qualified Cardholder will receive is valid (and the qualified Cardholder may input the code in the redemption link) within sixty (60) business days after the qualified Cardholder receives his promo code.
     5. Giftaway eGift code/codes are valid only for one (1) year from Cardholder’s receipt.
  3. No Annual Fee The qualified Cardholder of a UnionBank Rewards card will receive a notification of the No Annual Fee Welcome Gift within thirty (30) business days from meeting the Spend Requirement. Fulfillment of the No Annual Fee Welcome Gift will be done at the end of the promo period.
• The qualified Cardholder must maintain his/her Card active and in good standing for at least twenty-four (24) months from card approval date (the “holding period”). If, at any time during the holding period, the qualified Cardholder’s account is cancelled, the amount equivalent to the cost of the Welcome Gift shall be charged to his/her credit card account.
